Leah Benetti left "Crystal Court" the trailer park she grew up in, to study photography at Emily Carr University, an institution that has churned out artists far, far, more famous than her. Career highlights include having Cindy Sherman select her work to be in a show at The Sean Kelly Gallery, being show alongside the Group of Seven (kind of a big deal in Canada) and spending months on end in budget hotels in the southern United States for the most bizarre paying job ever. She was born in, and still lives in, Vancouver.
